Ecothought

Sources and Links

As the EcoThought website and blog continually points out, one of the core principles which guides our work is the ongoing development of knowledge and a devotion to avoiding "concretization" of ideas and opinions. Key to lifelong learning is a flexible and open mind to consider new ideas, to ponder different ways of solving problems and to continually evolve in the further development of the human enterprise. As discussed in the EcoThought principles, collaboration between people is key to solving problems and the different world views that individuals bring to the analysis of information enhances our understanding. Nor do we at EcoThought believe that the ongoing development of the human enterprise is achieved through hoarding of knowledge protected under principles of "intellectual property". The resolution of the complex issues we face in the further development of the human enterprise will require the pooling of all of the information, learning and capabilities we have developed throughout the human journey so far.

On the following pages we share the sources we have used to develop some of the thinking we have shared in these pages. We encourage people to seek out the references, to turn off the television and read and think for a while and to decide for themselves whether the princiuples we explore are relevant to their piece of the human enterprise and if they are, how they can contribute to creating a sustainable future for our children and their children so they can continue this great journey in the development of the human enterprise.
